Gungy cake

Fresh ingredients: margarine, eggs, carrots

Stored ingredients: flour, ground rice, molasses sugar, baking powder

Use 300g flour, 200g ground rice, 200g molasses sugar, 150g margarine, 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons of baking powder and about 400g of grated carrots.

Cook at gas mark 5 for an hour.

For the cream use 150g butter and 100g of molasses sugar; beat together and spread on the halved cake
