(With apologies to DC Comics whose trademark Superman is, and who I hope have a sense of humour!) The Daily Planet has acquired copies of the security videos from Undertow's March party and here are two stills that clearly reveal that Stelvio and Pstelvio are none other than the same person!!!
New psychedelic DJ Pstelvio sprang from obscurity to one of the headline slots in the new psy-trance room at Undertow in March, while Stelvio - Susan's partner as Undertow promoter and originator of the ground-breaking Undertow sound that anticipated the current hard-dance wave - has been a lynchpin of the London dance underground since the mid nineties. Our star investigative reporter Lois Lane doorstepped Stelvio at his Crystal Palace penthouse and was able to gain a unique insight into what lies behind this mysterious state of affairs. It turns out not to be a cheap publicity stunt, or even to have any underlying deep mantric meaning, but in true superhero style it's in the nature of a public service. "It turns out", confessed Stelvio, "that although lots of people like both hard trance and psy trance, there are some who don't. Now that I play psy trance sets as well as tuff funky trance sets, I wanted people to know what to expect." He didn't divulge which was which however, but I think we can guess. Stelvio and Pstelvio are both playing at the next Undertow on 14th June at the Medussa, Brixton, in the Hi-NRG Hard Trance Room and Driving Psy Trance Room respectively - presumably not at the same time.
