We're still not back for a couple of weeks so we thought we'd take the chance to do something completely different - an afternoon out with a picnic and no music! Bring kids, dogs, friends...

Faster Toni found a great spot in Walton-on-Thames; south west London, near the edge of the A-Z, inside the M25 between the A3 and M3. In fact it's on a small island in the river Thames near Sunbury lock.

We're praying for good weather and planning to use the warmest part of the day - midday till we get bored! For those on public transport it's a short train ride from Waterloo plus a short minicab ride from the station; fares are quite modest. Please bring whatever you want to eat and drink - something to sit on if the ground's damp and be prepared for whatever the weather throws at us. The spot we have in mind is about ten minutes walk from a pub but otherwise in the middle of nowhere, so get food and drink at home or go into Walton on the way. We hope you can join us for a breath of fresh air - and if the forecast is right, a bit of sunshine too
